Fiberglass SMC Roving is a reinforcement material mostly utilized in the production of Sheet Molding Compound composites. SMC is a type of thermoset composite material made by fusing chopped glass fibers, fillers, and resin in a sheet form. This type of roving is a constant strand of glass fibers that are perfectly assembled together utilizing a sizing agent. It is cut into small pieces and then blended with the resin and fillers for creating the SMC material. Fiberglass SMC Roving is designed to have outstanding wet-out properties that enable it to bond well with the resin and form a strong, durable composite material.
